Our Bed & Breakfast is dedicated to Fabrizio De André, a Genoese singer-songwriter who lived and sang about Genoa and its historical centre. The B&B is called 'La Città Vecchia' after one of his beautiful songs. The B&B is located in the historical centre of Genoa, in one of the oldest areas of the city, near the Church of Santa Maria di Castello. We are 150 metres from the Porto Antico area and therefore from the Aquarium of Genoa. With a short walk from our B&B you can reach the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Palazzo Ducale, Piazza De Ferrari and Via XX Settembre (the heart of shopping). Genoa is a labyrinth, which you either love or hate, because in its alleys you can get lost, feel lost, but then looking up you discover churches, monuments, ancient palaces, and wonderful views. Genoa is contradiction, ancient, beautiful, charming and dirty, chaotic, busy! A mix of strong scents and smells, sometimes too much! Genoa is superb, arrogant and surly, but at the same time you also find hospitality, tradition and culture! . Genoa is in its typical dishes, its port, its markets, its bays and hills. GENOVA is 'Genoa'... and we LOVE it so much and want to share it as much as possible with everyone who wants to get to know it!
